You are welcome to Congleton Bath House & Physic Garden all year round, free of charge. It is a lovely peaceful green space, in the centre of the town, where there is something of interest at all seasons. All parks and gardens have natural hazards, and ours includes a pond, so children should be supervised. Be aware that plants can be prickly, some cause allergic reactions and some are downright poisonous, so may we remind you - please: Look - Don't Touch.
The garden is open to visitors all year round, free of charge.
When you have come through the arch off Colehill Bank, we suggest you walk past the lower gate and start your tour of the garden at the main entrance at the top of the public footpath.
The Bath House can be viewed on our Open Days in May and September – look out for dates – or if you visit on a Monday, a volunteer may be available to give you a tour.
ACCESSIBILITY
For wheelchair users, and others with poor mobility, there is limited parking in Lowe Avenue and Wellbank Court. We regret that full wheelchair access to the site is not possible, owing to its nature and history, but a pleasant view is possible from the top of the garden using the main entrance gate and the hard landscaped paths. The Bath House is accessible only by steps.
PRIVATE TOURS
If you wish to bring a group for a guided tour of the Bath House or Physic Garden – or both – please contact us. We would be delighted to arrange a private visit with one of our knowledgeable volunteers.
VOLUNTEERING
If you are considering becoming a volunteer, do contact us. Or you could call in on site on any Monday after 11am, when we will be happy to welcome you and talk about opportunities to contribute to our team.
