The yellow colour of the wood and roots was thought to indicate properties for use in healing liver conditions. It does have antibacterial effects, and can be used as a yellow dye.

By Car. Parking at Back Park St CW12 1EP. Walk to Bank St. Right turn onto Lawton St and immediately turn left onto Cole Hill Bank.
