What with the weather, and Christmas, December was rather a slow month in the garden. Some work was done on tidying the borders and trimming the hedges. Progress was also made on adding guttering to the
new building. However, the lack of gardening opportunities was more than made up for by photo opportunities, as snow cast its magic spell over the garden.
All rather bad news for the robin, however, who relies on his gardening companions to unearth tasty morsels on a regular basis.
Falling on the carved bench in the wildlife area, it turned the frog at one end into a cute peek-a-boo, while the badger at the other end became a scary Dr Who monster.
Here’s hoping for better things to come in 2021, for the wildlife, the planet, and the health and security of us all.
